Parallax to donate on-line sales Wednesday to tsunami relief funds

Dear customers,

On·Wednesday, between 8:00 a.m. and noon (PST) Parallax will donate·our on-line sales to the following two organizations:

http://www.architectureforhumanity.org/·- Architecture for Humanity
http://www.unicefusa.org·- Unicef

We are donating all on-line sales, up to $5,000, evenly among these two organizations.·We are not donating just the profit or·a percentage of sales, but the whole sales amount (including tax and shipping)·from orders submitted by our customers during this period.·We will post·evidence of our donation on our web site after we've totalled up·the contributions.

Additionally,·Guenther Daubach (author of Programming the SX Microcontroller) of Burscheid, Germany will donate approximately $400·via Parallax to the same organizations.·Thanks for your generosity, Guenther!

Dear Parallax Customers,

The summary of our Tsunami Relief Fund sales donations is $4,978.60. Thanks to everybody who placed orders this morning. We will write our check today and put a copy of our receipt on our web site. We spoke with a·couple of·excited customers who came back to place another order when they found out we were donating our sales to this cause.

Let's hope this money gets supplies and relief to the people who need it the most!
