This is a very difficult thing to do with a Stamp.· In the Sony protocol, a pulse width of 1.2ms is a 1 and a pulse width of .6ms is a 0.· Each pulse must be separated by a .6ms pause.· Since the shortest pause with a Stamp is 1ms, there is no way to achieve a .6ms pause.· Why not use a Song Remote to generate your IR signal.· The Stamp can decode that.

Do you have a Stamp Tester?

i am using the sx, getting timings sorted is indeed proving difficult.

    meanwhile, it is apparently possible:

this gentleman is the only proof online that SIRCS (sony) transmitting is possible w/ BS2

    http://www.whimsy.demon.co.uk/sircs/

some basics at http://www.generation5.org/content/2001/rob11.asp as well

yet everyone seems more concerned w/ receiving signal than transmitting.

i will repost here w/ code if i get things working.

    cheers

    Thanks Nano!

I have attempted to contact "whimsy" twice with no success.
