board of education

when i turn on my board of education ( 9 Vdc ), without anything connected on the braedboard , the basic stamp2 heats up !!!! and the software ( basic stamp editor ) doesn't sence a basic stamp that is connected !!!!

has anyone have had the same problem? or can anyone help me?

Is the Stamp plugged in correctly?· You don't have it backward?
