SX/B -- I must be doing something silly

I just installed SX-IDE and overlayed the SX/B v1.10.
I opened an unaltered·example project and compiled.· I get unexpected errors, see the attached .ERR and .SRC files.
Apparently, I'm doing something silly, but as this is my first go at SX/B, I'm a bit stumped as to what.
Can you help?

In the meantime I've attached a version that doesn't use string constant shortcuts.

Make sure that your SX-Key IDE is the latest - if you recently purchased it is most likely that your CD-ROM SX-Key installer doesn't even know about SX/B. Download the latest SX-Key editor here: http://www.parallax.com/sx/downloads.asp. In fact, I recommend downloading the latest SX-Key Editor Version 3.0 and trying again. I bet you are working with an older SX-Key IDE.
If you do have the Version 3.0 SX-Key IDE, then it could be a matter of configuration. Within the SX-Key IDE, under Run/Configure select SX/B as the default editor type. The *.ERR list looks as if the SX-Key editor is unaware of the SX/B compiler. The second error about not finding the SRC file seems to be a function of looking in the wrong place. In the Run/Configure/SXB Compiler option check the SX/B Options for "Output Files" Directory.
Let us know if this gets you started.

Editor type is SX/B.
All defaults used in installation.
Running on Win2K, SP4; P-2 processor, 128Mb ram; if that matters.

My day job is writing firmware and control software for high precision crank and cam grinder automation. I know all about 'shipping'.
I'll check back over the weekend.

Again, sorry for my error.
