Hi, i have bought a boebot cmucam a month ago and i found that i have difficulties on tracking the color and the size of the image, so i would like to hook up the boebot cmucam to my pc to see the image. I knew that i will void the warrenty of the cam, but does anyone know what kind of chip i need to put on the boebot cam in order to connect boebot to PC serial port. Do·i need to add everything left from the original cmucam or just the MAX chip and some capacitor? is there any instructor i can follow?

thanks so much

    Tochus,

RoboEye does exactly what you requested: http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=30008·- not sure if you can modify a CMU cam to get the image on a PC.

I think the best you could do...given the info being sent to you from the CMUcam, is to use an excel type of product and graph what it gives you.

Don't know what type of graph you could use....but that's all you could do with this.
