SX52 Support

Hello all.

It has come to my attention that Andre' LaMothe is creating a single-board 'XGameStation' (XGS) which uses the SX52 device.

Is there an assembler for the SX52?· I know Parallax sells the SX52 'con carne' module -- but my version of the IDE does not seem to support it.· The current IDE seems only to support SX18, SX20, and SX28.

These efforts are in their infancy, software wise, but I see a great opportunity here.· So, how DO we build code for the SX52?

Thanks.

P.S. After further review, I see that it is the SX/B that doesn't currently support the SX52.· IF you name the file '.SRC', you can put in SX52 code.· Thanks anyway.

The SX-Key IDE supports all SX devices in assembly language. SX48 and SX52 support will be added to a forthcoming SX/B version -- probably some time after the first of the year. Andre was in our offices last week and is excited about the possibility of his customers using SX/B to program the XGS.

I am overjoyed your two companies are getting along. Andre has been an example to me of what small system graphics programming is all about. The SX family of processors has the highest through-put for this size of processor. What a great team it will make, with his circuit boards and philosophy, and your software tools.

    Rock on!

Give us time; many neat ideas are on the table for this "beautiful friendship."
