My job has just posted its acceptable use policy, in which it explicitly forbids use of our computer for posting in public forums. Since I cannot plead ignorance, this must be my last post until I reestablish my home internet connection (which I estimate·to be·two weeks from now). Till then, take care and happy coding.

Wow, your IT folks must be really cranky -- this forum is without doubt job-related to most of us.

I'm back, freshly relaxed from spending some time in FL and I now have home·HS internet again. Anyone who·is curious as to who would have such a draconian IT policy, I have·two words: the·government. I'm a patent examiner in the computer memory arts. Not my first choice in a job since I'd rather be creating things and not knocking down other people's ideas.·I graduated with my MSEE in·aug '01 and while I was in discussions with Boeing's space systems, 9/11 happened and we had no clue when flights would start again so I could interview. With loan money running out, my only option was the USPTO since they have the discretion of doing telephone interviews. So here I am, 3 years later and just became fully vested. So I'm creating things using the SX to keep·my creative process·honed and I'm starting to release my resume to headhunters. If there are any interested parties out there, my foci in undergrad was programming and digital design, my foci in grad school was analog design and digital signals processing;·and my thesis was sub-audible audio communication using psychoacoustics. Anywho, didnt mean for this to become a self-promotional plug so I'll stop now.

    Glad to be back,

    Paul
