External RAM recommendations?

I have an animatronic·project using the Parallax servo controller. I need to record a lot of positions as a function of time. I'm looking at writing all of this to some external RAM, and then being able to read it back when needed.
Are there any recommendations for external RAM such as the 93LC56 class serial RAM chips, or something like a SanDisk memory card.
At the very least I'll need a FIFO type of RAM. Ideally, I'd like something random access.
Are there any good recommendations that work well with the BASIC stamp?

There is also the RAMpack from solutions cubed.
You can equip it with SRAM or NVRAM chips.
It has random access and FIFO modes.
