USB BS2 Board

Hi all...

I'm currently using a Serial BS2 Board and sending data from the stamp to the pc via the built in rs232 connection. I was curious, now that more and more pc's are being shipped without serial ports (or only one) I was wondering if there is any way (or better yet documentation) to get the USB Board to talk to the PC over USB in simular way that the Serial Board allows.

Thanks in advance,

Jared

What? The USB-BOE works exactly like the serial BOE does -- the exception is that one uses an USB port, the other standard serial. If you're wanting to use your serial BOE with a USB equipped computer, we carry the FTDI USB-Serial converter that lets you do that.

Sorry for the confusion, not for programming. What I was meant to say was run time communication between the PC and the Stamp via USB rather than Serial. With the serial board I'm using 16 as the Tpin and Rpin when doing SERIN's and SEROUT's and it works great. The reason I'm asking is simply because I'm begining to see more and more PCs shipped with few or no serial ports.

It's still the same. You can use SERIN and SEROUT on "pin 16" of the USB-BOE just like on the other BOE. Make sure that you have the latest FTDI drivers installed.
