Hello Stamp people.
I have a project in mind based on caller ID. I purchased the "communications project" book basically for the chapter it had on this topic. The book demonstrates use of the MC 145447 chip. Unfortunately, I'm finding it difficult to get my hands on this chip. Indeed, it looks like this chip may have been popular 10 years ago but not anymore.
Does anyone know where to get supplies of this chip? Is there a newer chip I can use for this purpose? Is anyone doing anything at all related to caller ID they'd care to share?
Thanks,
-dave

The Motorola MC145447 is still available. If you use the search engine below, you can find 2 or 3 resources for them:

That's a cool resource. I guess I'm too used to DigiKey... it's nice to be able to tell what something costs. I guess it's time to start requesting quotes.
Thanks,
