Burned my SX-Key

Oh no!! Was my first thought! I've burned my SX-Key.
I've made a PCB for running my SX on a 9V battery, but to test it, I used a 9V DC power supply - It worked great, right until I (in overwelming mindnumbing ignorence) accidently switched + and Gnd on the supply.
At this point the SX28AC/DP works fine, but the SX-Key won't work, even on the original SX Tech PCB. Conclution: I've burned the key.
Since I cannot afford a new SX-Key with xmas closing in, my question is: What do I do? Is there a way to identify/replace the burned out part or even to build a new SX-Key from scratch?
Plz help! I vas building an alarm clock and need to get up early tuesday morning - without an SX-Key I cannot program my·alarm-clock, and thus will loose my job or at least won't have anymore digital fun for months...
