SX to USB chip

Has anyone added a USB chip to the SX for communication?
Any code for a particular USB chip used that you can share?

I'll be doing exactly this when my order from Parallax arrives (SX+FTDI USB chips -- I bought all three, UART, parallel, and dual high-speed -- to experiment with).

I'll let you know how I get on if you like.

Sure. Parallax actually distribute them (amongst others):

From what I understand, they're pretty easy to work with. And also come with redistributable, royalty-free Windows, Mac, and Linux drivers.
