adapter for 8 ld LCC package to DIP?

That is the package used for the accelerometers. If that is what you are trying to use, check www.sparkfun.com for their accelerometer pcbs. Low cost and they will include the smt parts and connector around the sensor if you want.

I ordered a few and the service was very good.
