The dewpoint calculation I wrote for the Sensirion SHTxx requires the logarithm of the saturation vapor pressure over water. Maybe that would help. The program listing is here:

I hope that helps. A small modification is required for EW over ice. As Gerry said, an alternative is to use a table lookup, from temperature to EW.
