Did i fry my basic stamp 1 board?

...sigh, ok i have been testing out my board for the last 3 days and its been working and ive been making mods to the robot and program and then all of a sudden the little light went out....i have a fresh 9V battery on, the on/off switch is working fine since 9volts is going to the board and over to v1 on the back...and there is voltages across the board but i cant get it to connect to the computer to upload a program nor will the light come back on

whats the deal!?!?

    Sounds like you might have a short in your power circuit.· Disconnect everything from the Stamp and try again.· If the light doesn't come on, put your finger on the Stamp.· Is it hot?· Is the regulator hot?· You have probably smoked your Stamp.·

    same thing...but the 2210s block is hot...the only left of the ON light
