how BS2 and BS2p emulate pc?? baud true or inverted??

hi,

how·do a BS2 and a BS2p emulate/work like·a pc??
what are the similarities·and the differences·between these??

i was testing sms sending with a bs2 and a nokia 7110, but it couldnt work. instead when i tested with hyperterminal and that phone the sms could be sent.

for the baud settings, should i set it to true or inverted and why?
what's the difference between the two?

What you need to do, then, is make sure that your baud rate settings from your BASIC Stamp match what you're doing in Hyperterminal. Another thing you may need is to install a TTL-RS232 level shifter (e.g., MAX232) between the BASIC Stamp and your phone.

i've already set the baud to 19200, which matches the baudrate needed in hyperterm. but problem is i'm not too sure if the baud settings should be true or inverted.

since u suggested using max232, the baud settings should be set to true right?
