Just installed 2.1 pbasic from web, Help locks up

No problem with board (using the Homework Board package from Radio Shack) Runs program just fine
When I click on the HELP the help screen pops up but anything I click on in the help screen locks up that window.
Same thing with the version on the CD that came with the kit
So I downloaded the latest version from web, everythhing seems to work except the HELP screens
I am running Windows XP Home edition SP1 AMD 1150 Mhz 512 MB ram
Disabled Norton still locks up
no clue here what to try next.

If I double click the pbasic.chm filein the basicstamp2 directory it comes up and works fine.
So that's a workaround
