Stamp repair?
i've recently come into a small quantity of 'dead' stamps, mostly older V1.0 BS2s but also a few BS2Ps (3x -24 and 1x -40) and a BS2sx. From that I've observied in my stamp killing past, the majority culprit is reverse insertion, which very obviously kills the regulator. My question is, for those of you who have done a little stamp dissection, would it be reasonable for me to get new Vregs and try and repair them? New EEPROMs? New interpreter chips? The SMD rework isn't an issue for me, and if I can get a working BS2p for the cost of a free sample or an interpreter it'd make for a great addition to my stamp stable.
Thoughts?

And, of course, if anyone has dead stamps they want to get rid of, I'm more than happy to give their parts a good home

·· I'm sure Parallax Tech support has seen their share of BS2's with the magic blue smoke set free...

Can't you just provide a regulated voltage supply and skip the repair?
It seems at most that you would have to remove the regulator to get the micro to function.
