SX Current Consumption

Hi to all geniuses,

Anybody knows what is the SX28AC current consumption like if the reset (MCLR) is pulled low?
Is it the same as in sleep mode?

Another question,
Is the SX current consumption lower when running with Internal oscillator or when running with external crystal at the same frequency and voltage?

Thanks.

Is this not in the Datasheet?

Reset (MCLR low) is not a low power state. The current is practically the the same as the operating current.

I couldn't find it in the data sheet either. So I investigated it myself. I was primarily interested in the behavior of the BASIC Stamp as it goes into brownout, and found glitches anyone who has to deal with system reliability should be aware of. Strange things happen if the SX is in SLEEP when the brownout occurs.

There is also discussion of tests on a raw SX chip, where the watchdog could be disabled.
