LCD Display Image

Hey Everybody,

I'm wondering if a basic stamp can be attached to a color LCD display and display a jpeg/gif/png/etc image? I'm new to this whole thing, so a basic stamp may not be the hardware of choice for me.

Can a basic stamp hold and display such a file? If not could anybody point me to ARM-based hareware (or equivelent) that would do this job?
