Connect an LED to one port at a time. Haven't figured out to test the inputs
yet.

    Hi Sid,

It may work, I can's tell you for sure though.

But how do you make this visual if it is working? An other thing I'm just
thinkig of is the following: do'nt you need to test the inputs as well?

    Regards,

    Klaus

    Hi Sid,

Toggling all pins HIGH and then all pins LOW at the same time with
leds connected is not a strong test. If two pins are shorted
together (a common occurrence in DIY projects!) the neighboring pins
will not ever have to contend with one another.

Testing with the led does show if there is an open circuit to the
pin. But say the led lights when the pin is HIGH. The test does
not then really show that the pin can go LOW (It might have been
blown by an inductive kickback, huh?)
