Hello all,
I am new to basic stamps and programming. I am trying to develope a
project for my work and I am not quite sure how to accomplish all
the tasks I need the stamp to do.
If you would be interested in helping me to not only create this
project, but also to understand the basic stamp better please drop
me a line.
P.S. I am not interested in paying someone to do this for me I just
need some help with getting started.
Thanks
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
I think the best way to start is to break down the steps of your
program into what you see are natural breaks.
seeing and identifying an M&M color might be one
grabbing it with an arm might be another.
placing the arm over the proper hole and releasing it a third.
counting the colors of each a fourth.....
then, pick one thing that can be done and ask specifics about that
thing.
we can offer suggestions or links to help you on specifics.
Don't worry if your idea of a natural break is what we do or what is
good for the software, just ask what you think.
and, please post the subject line to be related to that task. Many
people do not read all posts and only the ones that interest them by
subject lines.
Dave
I'd be glad to give you some help on the weeekends. I am pretty well
booked for now, but an hour or two would probably get you going.
There are two primary tasks in a STAMP project, software and the
hardware interface between the STAMP and hardware in
question.Typically the programming is the simpler of the two. The
STAMP is a powerful tool but it is not magic. I have decent
progrming skills, not a pro by any stretch of the imagination, but
I'm always looking for an interesting project.
