Liability Question

When u develop an entire project around the Basic stamp, and possibly
market it, or resale the device, what kind of liability on the developer

Is involved, or any ,,, I'd like to hear stories ,,,

In the medical device manufacturing arena, you have to bite the bullet
and have product liability insurance. The cost increases with number of
units sold per year, but even small manufacturers get hit with $5K-$10K
per year, depending on their products.

I have seen many disclaimers on products where the manufacturer states '...not liable for consequential damagaes"
