AD592 temp sensor

Does anyone have any documentation on the AD592 temp sensor? How
many pins it takes to interface it with the BS2, how long is the
source code, what is the temperature range? Also, are there any
good sensors to use as far as measuring temperature that only use
one pin on the BS2? My application does not need to have accurate
temperature measurements, maybe within 2 or 3 degrees at about 200
degrees F.

The AD592 is in fact a temperature depentent current source, it gives 1 uA /
Kelvin. So at 20 degree C the current through the AD592 will be 273 + 20 =
293 uA. And it changes with 1 uA per degree C temperature change.
It has 3 pins, two for + and - and the middle pin is not connected. You
should be able to connect it to the Stamp in a RCTIME ciruit using only one
pin on the Stamp. But you will need a seperate supply voltage (positive or
negative) as the AD592 has a 4 Volt voltage drop.
I use them with opamps and 12 bit ADC as high precision thermometers.
Using Google you will find the data sheet of this Analog Devices AD592
easily on the web.
I hope this helps and I'm shure there will be more easy ways to measure
temperature with a Stamp :-).
