Basic Stamp Editor for other PIC''s?

An alternative to assembly, with a wide choice of PICs, is a C compiler
and programmer. Way back when they were first introduced, I bought from
Parallax their BS1 kits, and shipped a few hundred units of a commercial
product with BS1s on board. I later switched to using several different
PICs and use of C. I still use Stamps for quick prototyping.

Be warned however,

With that $50 price of a stamp, you will save HOURS in development time.
The
sx uses assembly language and is not nearly as intuitive as the Stamp.

I will typically use the Stamp to test a concept or for quick
development,
then once the design is working I write the same code in assembly for
the SX.

But if I learned to use the SX you can too. I think SXWIZ.com has a
compiler
that will translate basic code into SX assembly language, but I never
used it.

Thanks Ken!

I'll check what Parallax has on the SX.
