Hi all,
I just recently recieved one of the 1298 chips to upgrade an old 8 bit AD
interface, but as i connected it according to the app. notes to a bs2p i
noticed a quick surge of heat on the stamp unit. Correct me if i'm wrong, but
the bs2p and bs2 have the same pinouts?

double-check your connections when making any substitution. I've also
learned to clear my programs from a BASIC Stamp module before pulling
them out -- that way when I put them back into another circuit I don't
have to worry about pins driving high or low and creating a problem in
my new circuit.
