Connecting an IPAQ with a BS2P

Hi everybody,

I'm searching for a technical website who provides information about
connecting an IPAQ (my ipaq is a 3850) to a Basic stamp. I want to use the
BS2P(24pins)for reading information in (pressures, temperatures) and sending
that information to my IPAQ. It is also a output device wich will switch
solid states on and off.
I'm creating a visual basic program wich will take care of all the commands
and will also "drive" the basic stamp to send the information continually to
the IPAQ.

Could someone help me with my project?
Sorry for my terrible english.

Kindly regards

Tim Christiaen

did you try embedded bluetooth module? seems this is the only solution
    to connect stamp and iPaq

Doesnt the iPaq have a serial port? Or perhaps one of the PDA cable
makers make a USB>rs232 or even a CF>rs232 interface. If you can find
a serial port (or a virtual serial port via one of those CF or USB
interfaces), you can find some inexpensive rs232 monitoring/data
logging software for the iPaq.....will save you some time coding your
own. www.5dtool.com has one and it's free.

However, if you do want to write your own terminal/data logging
program, try "Visual Programmers Guide to Serial Communications" by
Dick Grier. There is some good info in there for coding rs232 comm
    for pocketPc's.

If you cant come up with rs232, the Bluetooth solution already
mentioned is probably the most elegant and expensive. Or you can try
IrDa. IMO infrared is a pain because of the alignment/proximity
    issues.

    Good luck!
