A serial printer at low cost may be hard to find.

Try a serial to parallel converter with any inexpensive parallel
printer. See product 232SPS2 on www.bb-elec.com, for example.

here is a serial to parallel printer adapter card. Its from
www.techsupplies.co.uk in the UK

or here is a small serial printer that easily connects to the basic stamp .

bought the printer before I found out bout the serial adapter card which
is much cheaper. ah well tis tis
