most likely not while operating. There might be a way just for the programming part though...

    No.

The serial port is a signal port and will only deliver about 10mA
    maximum.

The spec for the parallel port is that if it delivers over 2.5mA at
over 2.5 volts, it is within spec. Laptops use a much lower power
output, typically just over 3 volts on the parallel port signals.

The Serial has more powre availble, but fewer pins. The +/- 14V
looks attractive, but the port will quickly drop voltage as you add
    load.

The keyboard and mouse ports offer a lot of power if you are looking
    for a power source.

The joystick port is the big winner here. Becareful, you can draw
amps and burn traces on the MB, then no joy.

The USB offers about 500mA max.

Also, you can add a power port to the PC and connect your 5 and 12 to
that for most projects. the average power supply is way
    underutilized.

Maybe Al Willimas can post his link to that ?

Do be careful not to short it out or you will reboot your computer or worse.
Inline fuse holders are probably smart.

I just talked to CH products about how much power I could get from the
GameCard 3 Automatic (old product I have in a machine). They said it'll
deliver whatever the ISA (its an ISA slot card) spec can deliver, without
damage to the card. Of course, this just means that the card won't melt if
you draw more than the motherboard can handle - the motherboard may turn
into a smoking heap of ash.

    Yup !

If you try to source 20ma per output on a Stamp you may release some
    of the magic smoke !
