new stamp editor RANT

Well I finally got around to trying the new stamp editor.
Looks like a near miss to me, I cannot stand an editor that does not handle
tabs properly.
Yes I have tried the various settings under preferences, but to no avail, it
tends to screw up the tabs no matter how it is configured.
I am going back to the old version, let me know when the new version gets
fixed.

Properties >> Editor Operation
* Tab key inserts: Tab Character
* Fixed Tabs
* Fixed Tab Positions = 9, 17, 25, 33, 41, 49, 57, 65
I've tried these settings and THEY DO IN FACT WORK with older files that
use standard tab settings.
