I2C ADC For BS2P24?
Archiver
Posts: 46,084
I would like to use my BS2P24s I2C command set
to read an 8bit ADC chip connected to a 0-5V barometric
pressure sensor. I've looked over the Parallax site
but don't find any references to any specific
Stamp compatible I2C ADCs. Which one(s) might work
best in this case?
Thanks,
Tom Fisher

worse, the majority seem to be SOT - the really small stuff. If you're handy
with a soldering iron, the SOP parts are pretty easy to solder (they just
LOOK tough to do ;).

Unfortunately, all the I2C ADCs I've ever run across are surface mount.
Even worse, the majority seem to be SOT - the really small stuff. If

solder (they just LOOK tough to do ;).

Is Parallax selling the PCF8591 separate from the plus pack?
http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=45184
It's seems that it is hard to find Philips parts in small quantities
otherwise. The PCF8591 is neat 8 bit chip, having as it does also a
DAC and differential capability.
>Try the PCF8591. We have code for it in our Plus Pack docs.
