I see people asking to use the PALM to SEE what the Stamp is doing,
and I think there is lots of interest in that.

As far as programming goes, the PALM would be a hard device to do
anything but minor corrections. Maybe altering some program
variables ??? maybe simple data logging ??

A laptop would offer much easier access to the program and editing
features.

And, as a field device, don't forget the STACHE available from Tracy
Allen's website.

You can program that and then stick it in your pocket and take it to
your remote site and re-program a Stamp without a PC.

Hope that helps.

Dave

But aren't here terminal programs out there for Palms? IF the stamp is
debugging out or serialling out p16 then a terminal program on a palm should
    be good for viewing no??

Yes, you can use your Palm running a terminal emulator to act as your debug
    output and input device.
Please not that you will be restricted to the DEBUG parameters for a line by
line terminal. The direct cursor addressing modes only support a window
    based terminal emulator.

B.T.W. You will need to have a null modem cable from the Palm to the Stamp.
I am using "Online" from www.markspace.com as terminal emulator.
