DS1822 Digital Thermometer Problem

I am trying to use the DS1822 included in my kit to read
temperature. I am using the code (copy and paste) from the CD for
the DS1822 but it always reads really high numbers like 350 degrees
F. It also seems to skip around a lot like from 200 to 400. Its
only 73 in my office so what am I doing wrong? If I disconnect the
chip it does tell me that it doesn't find it so I assume the stamp is
talking to the DS1822.

If you could try the code at
http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=45184 in the zip file.
This way we know something was not lost in the copy and paste. It could
be a bad chip otherwise.
