weather project ---- help

Hi everyone,
I am new to all of this and am trying to do a complicated project. I want to
access my
local airports weather conditions using the web and then take certain
information,
such as wind speed etc. and control a motor.

What is the best system?
Should I use the BASIC Stamp Web Server or Stamp Modem to access the data and
then have the data will be translated to a 12v speed?

Can the stamp do this?

Thanks
K

With respect, wouldn't your project be easier and work more effectively
if just monitored local conditions?.... You can do that with the BASIC
    Stamp.

Depends on how it's given to you off the Net.
Of course you have to have something that can get access (constantly or
whatever you determine the period to be).
If it's posted as a picture, then you are hooped (as far as I know anyhow).
If you can get it as text then it's easy.
Just grab the page as a text file and HOPEFULLY it'll be the same string
each time and you can search for text and grab it off the page.

this is all easier using Visual Basic or C....then you could fire it out to
your stamp and have it control whatever....
I honestly don't know the capabilities of the Stamp Web Server, but you
might be able to do something simliar (although it's a server....not a
    browser...hmmm).
