any sugestions on temperature sensors, i need to pick a sensor to
monitor a tiny gas engine, from normal operating temps of about 100 -
350 degrees f , any sugestions?
also i want to have a sensor to read flywheel rpm, is there a way to
do this by driling one hold and using ir sensors?

We are having the same problem for a motorcycle. We
need to get the Temp of the engine, but don't have
factory specs for an OEM part or on-board sending
unit, so we're considering an external part. If you
find something, please post your findings, and we will
do like-wise.

works fine with a BS2p stamp but uses a lot or variable memory.
Another idea may be to use a infared sensor(RAYTEX) to read the temperatures
you want to monitor. This is a handheld device so it won't send info to a
stamp or computer.
