Hello,
I just purchased a BOE-Bot, and do not hace a serial port directly
on my computer. I have a USB hub that connects a serial port and
other devices through a USB port. When all plugged in and power set
to "1" on the BOE, there is Echo, but not loopback and device
recognition. The USB hub is installed, but the BASIC stamp editor
cannot find the BOE. Any help on fixing the connection problem will
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt Bernstein

You get the echo when everything's connected. What if you disconnect or turn
off the BoeBot? That would imply to me that the data in/out lines are
working. If BS2 IDE still can't see the stamp the problem may be with the
hardware handshake lines.
Make sure that the serial cable between the USB serial adapter and the
BoeBot is a "strait thru" cable and doesn't cross over any pins.
BTW: I'm using the KeySpan USA-19 with no problems.
