Flaky BASIC Stamp1
Hello from Gregg C Levine
I have two BASIC Stamp1s here. The first one, was one that I bought
I'd say about two, or three years ago. The second I bought this past
January, direct from Parallax.
The second worked fine, the first series of programs. Then it started
to act flaky. Working only when it wanted to. Right it now, it's
refusing to work. In the advent I need to get it serviced, what do I
do? And how long is the warranty good for? I've got the original
anti-static bags. When I'm using one, the other gets stuck in its bag.
And vice versa. Very strange.
However the first one is working perfectly.

Comments
that 99.5% of the BASIC Stamps returned as "flaky" or broken have nothing wrong
with them. I'm not saying you don't have a goofy BASIC Stamp ... I'm just
suggesting you double- and triple-check your circuit and connections. Silly
things happen to the best of us.

Okay, Jon, I'll keep swapping them around. Eventually I might even get
a second carrier board, so I don't need to do that for the two of
them.
When is the 90 days started? The date of order, or the date of
reception? That is the date when I received it. It was ordered on
1/13/04, and shipped on 1/14/04, I think it got to me, about five days
later.

If you think it's bad, send it back and we'll happily check it out.
