negative criticism...

Regarding those who feel the Parallax folks are just sitting around getting
rich - - if this was/is the case then life is good, as it should be for
those who stick their neck out when operating a business. Parallax maintains
a very functional web site, is free with helpful hints and useful
information and produces a very impressive catalog both in content and
appearance. The unfortunate fact is folks tend to degrade others who are
successful so the Parallax people should view negative criticism as being
complimentary in nature. Parallax does a very good job and their web site is
a rich source of information on their products, the uses of their products
and electronic methods in general. I am one who appreciates their existence.

I'm not sure who said it, but it goes something like...

"don't let those who say it cannot be done get in the way of those
    who are doing it !"

I'm not one who usually even replies to these threads,
but in this instance I feel compelled to mention that
I myself am so impressed with everything I have seen
both in this group, AND through personal experience
over the last 2 years, that I have been going to great
lengths to get the local schools and community college
into the Parallax educational programs. If I had any
reservations whatsoever, I wouldn't be doing that. I
don't live in a very large area, per se, but the need
is here to get caught up with the times, and I myself
feel Parallax holds the key through it's educational
    programs.

As many have pointed out before...There are other
comparable products...But nobody comes close to the
support and dedication that these folks provides.

I have done alot of business, and have nothing but
good things to say about it, and I let people know.
Once our Website is updated, I will post a link to
some projects we are working on, and share with the
    online community.

I haven't done as much business with Parallax as many on here have but, I
must echo Chris' statements based on what I have done with these folks. Also,
they are in business, as are a lot of us, to make money so what is wrong with
that. I have not yet ask a question to which I have not received an answer.
Most of the time, I can get the answer right off their website.

I think Randy, you bring up a point that not many
people can appreciate...One from the standing of
someone who is in a position to have to provide
service & customer service, especially for their own
business. As I do...I have had my own business for
many years now. One of the things we build is
high-end custom computers. To stay competitive, we
have to keep prices down and still offer a good
warranty. Needless to say, I don't get rich off this!
But the people who buy my computers really appreciate
them when they need service, especially when they've
dealt with the likes of Dell, Gateway, etc. before...

Everyone I have spoken with at Parallax has been very
helpful in any situation, and customer service speaks
alot about a business...I don't see anyone else
    providing more.
