Actually, those look perfect. Checked Digikey and they have them for less
than $2 each! I ordered ten to allow for ham-fistedness. They look pretty
fragile.

I imagine they put out an AC signal? I can use an opamp to add an offset to
keep the voltage positive. Wondering how I'm going to actually catch the
peaks and valleys. I guess I could just spend a second continuously reading
the ADC then just keeping the highest and lowest readings obtained and
displaying those. Mr. Nyquist might turn a cold shoulder to me but...

Any thoughts?
