Did you connect power?
How are you connecting to the BASIC Stamp? Serial? Parallel?
If serial -- are you using the serial adapter (you can't use a straight
serial cable with the Super Carrier, you need the serial adapter). The
programming connection for the BS1 is a 3-pin header; you must be
connected to that for the compiler to find the BS1.

i just got this stuff, and i literally dont know what im doing. but i
have the Basic Stamp Manual and i hooked up from my serial port, the
Basic Stamp Super Carrier, with the BS1 hooked into it. according to
the book, its all hooked up right. then i typed in the first code it
told me to mess with, which was:
' {$BASIC BS1}
DEBUG "Hello World!"
and when i run it. it says:
ERROR - Hardware not found
anyone know what is wrong, please help.
