We have an OEM BS2 (brand new) that we're experiencing unreliable COM
issues with. When attempting to connect with BS2 in order to download
code we receive a message that the stamp is detected but not
communicating. This occurs 80-90% of attempts. The remainder of
attempts the unit is found and we are able to download code /
communicate as expected....? Anyone have any ideas as to reason(s).
Thanks...

We experience the same behavior whether using a laptop or desktop
    PC...?

Possibly a bad ground? Have you tried different cables? I also had a UMAX
computer have similar problems until I hooked an earth ground to it, then it
    worked fine.
