Hi group!
I need to control, with my BS2, a high voltage electric fence as you
have on farms
to keep animals to cross fields, anyone know where I can find high
voltage relays
( 10,000 volts).

Generally controlled by 28 VDC. The Kennehoochie Hamfest is Saturday. I
will get the fella's name.
It would be easier to use a relay to control the 110 VAC into the electric
fence charger.

It is possible to use an open frame relay and epoxy a fiberglass rod to it
(with high Voltage wire attached to the end) to get the same effect. The
fiberglass rod would give the Voltage stand off required. Ugly as home made
sin, but functional<G>.

I've worked with electic fences on my uncle's farm, and switching off the
input voltage is NOT a good solution, particularly if the unit supplies
several sections of fence... (We don't want cattle running wild, do we)
Worst case?
Just mount a small DC motor that lifts a latch using a 'non-conductive'
actuator. (Plastic rods or something)
Hook red and green flags onto it and you also have a visible 'safe'/'Danger'
signal out in the field...
:-)

There are several fellas that appear at hamfests that sell used ones.
