Hello from Gregg C Levine
I know this subject has been examined from all of the angles, and that
includes both inside, and out, but it seems I am stuck. Here it goes,
and pardon me for sounding confused.
According to my web searches, there are many manufacturers of Micro
Piezoelectric based Gyroscopes, including a few full sized devices
that are using in the remotely piloted aircraft that the military
uses. There are also several different manufacturers of hobby sized
devices, including two who seem to have the same web interface for
finding a store. That also includes units that cost a small fortune,
but they are not the kind I want at the moment.

Now I am curious. What specific model have all of you, who use them,
have selected, and from which company?

    I built my own
    http://www.dprg.org/projects/2003-01a/
I used the Analog Devices Rate Gyros and Accelerometers.
Depending on your sources for the parts the cost can be under a $100.00
to build your own. I felt this is more MCU compatible than using a RC
    Gyro unit.

    Hi Gregg,

I use Murata piezo gyros (03JA and 03JB) in a commercial medical
application, but I have to buy them in quantity.
