Jon, a quick question while I am thinking of it...I
recently won an auction for an NX-1000 board w/LCD on
eBay, and I was wondering, is there a PDF manual for
it on the Parallax wesbite? The only thing I can find
is the StampWorks manual...But nothing that describes
the connections on the board. Now before you answer,
from an engineering standpoint 99% of it is
self-explanatory, but I was really hoping to have a
reference manual for a few of the things on there
which I haven't designed around before. For example,
the driver chip, and the 4-Digit Display, of which at
a glance I can't tell if it's CC or CA! LOL

I noticed there IS a manuals online for the
NX-1000-24/40...Thanks!

There is a small document that comes from our vendor, but it's not
available as a PDF as far as I know. Sorry. Had you bought the NX-1000
new, you'd have that doc! ;)

And, you're right, the board is pretty self explanatory -- especially
with StampWorks in your hands (which has schematics for everything).
All LEDs (seven-segment displays included) are lit by driving them high,
hence are common cathode. Have fun -- I love the NX-1000 and use it as
my default development platform.

Yeah, I am trying to do that with the NX-1000-24/40,
since I now have a BS2P40, but it's down to that or
the BS2P40 Starter Kit to also get another chip. =)

Thanks, that in itself will help, since I have not, as
of yet, looked through the StampWorks manual...

Jon (And Parallax),

My apologies...I guess in my haste to play with my
new NX-1000 board, I didn't completely check the box.
After removing the remaining bubble packs, I found a
small white pamphlet type manual for the board, which
would appear to be what you were talking about. It
contains the complete specs and schematics to the
board, as well as a few code examples.

Okay, Chris, you owe me and everyone on the list for emotional distress.
BTW ... you'll probably find the code in StampWorks easier to follow
than the examples provided with the board.

NO, now you owe me! Laughed so hard when I read that,
that I had tears in my eyes! Anyway, as a side note
to those who don't have the board, it's a VERY useful
tool for developing BS2 projects, providing many I/O
devices with the need to plug them onto the
breadboard. I guess my BOE Boards are now future
BOE-BOTS! LOL

That was SUPPOSED to say WITHOUT the need to plug them
onto the breadboard...See Jon...Tears! Makes eyes
blurry!
