Need to set up for 4 serial i/o ports(9600 baud), three 5 volt relay
lines and the lcd display. I have never had a stamp kit before. What
Parallax kit should I purchase and what other optional boards should
I get? Do I have to use two stamps in parallel to do this?
Thanks for any suggestions

Thus you can't recieve data on all 4 ports at
the same time -- only one port at a time, and
the other 3 must wait until the Stamp is ready
for them. It is possible to use a co-processor
to buffer the real-time reception until the
Stamp is ready to receive it.
Nor does the Stamp support interrupts, so you
can't get around it that way, either.
Having said that, if you use the sMT chip, or
the Max3100, it can be done.
