Hey folks,
no this isn't a spam ad for another bovine disease....
A year ago I finally succumbed to the lure of the Stamp phenomena and picked
up a BS2 Education kit. This put me out a couple hundred clams up here in
Canuck-land.
This was a hefty price to get introduced. I see now that there was a
cheaper way to do it...but I've had tonnes of fun with the kit nonetheless.
I realize the BS2 in it's own right is a great little device....but it pales
to the SX's and P's. I've come to realize that, "Hey, I could use some of
those extra abilities in all the little goof-ball ideas I have"....
So, without consulting my more mature self about financial abilities, I
jumped on a BS2P40 today....
Another hefty drop of some coinage...but fine...no problem.
Now I'm looking at SO MANY MORE THINGS TO DO with my new toy.
I think I've spent about a G ($133 US) on little doo-dads to connect to my
BS2. Now I can use Ibuttons/I2c...oh god oh god....If I claim bankruptcy
will the bank take away my beloved stamp?
Every time I hear about a Stamp convention I get sweaty and twitchy, only to
realize these are just paperlicker clubs!!
I would like to start the first BSA here in Canada....
Hi my name is Steve.....I'm a Basic Stamp Addict.....
PS...HEY PARALLAX....you need more distributors up here...there's only like
6 in the whole country, and we're bigger than you (ok, half the country is
too busy hunting/fishing/finding creative ways to keep warm and don't have
time for Stampin!).
Anyhow....I got a new toy!! woo hoo woo hoo!!!!

We're glad that you're having fun.
On the topic of Canadian distributors....we actually have 8 in Canada as
of right now -

Active Electronic Supplies Depot is one of the distributors but they
have 10 Stores across Canada so there are quite a few options.

Since you brought up the size of Canada, I thought I'd provide everyone
with a little extra info (which doesn't need to lead us to any
tangents):
Canada
Area (sq. km): 9,976,140
Population: 32,207,113
United States
Area (sq. km): 9,629,091
Population: 290,342,554
I hope the Bank doesn't take your BASIC Stamp away!

I didn't look in to multiple stores for active....Never fear I'll buy more,
so long as I can afford my beer. (lame poet alert!)
