I was pretty sure I could figure this out, but, here I am....
I can't talk to my BS2. Here are the details:
BS2 on Super Carrier Board. power supply, 12 VDC to bd.
straight through db9 cable to Toshiba Satellite 2400 com1, shorted 6-
7.
I am using BS Editor 2.1 beta 1.
When I ctl-I I get loopback: yes, echo, no and no device found.
I can see data at pin 1 and 2 of the BS2.
If I try to upload, I get a no BS detected.
I have verified my com port works with a gps receiver.
Any thoughts? (it's the first time I've tried this)
Thanks!
Kevin

their RS232 FIFO set to zero, before they
will work with the Parallax equipment.
Search the forum on 'FIFO' for more instructions,
if you don't know how to do it already.

Problem solved! Thank you for the information. I was worried that I'd
fried the stamp.

thought. Some programs don't give up the serial port easily. Boot your machine,
then verify your comm port settings. If you are absolutely certain of your comm
port, try building a cable with just tx rx and gnd connections.
