Still having problem with Toshiba
Archiver
Posts: 46,084
Sorry this thread got so old...I was away for a while..Anyway I
disabled the FIFO buffers on my Toshiba laptop but I still cannot use
the Windows Based Stamp Program in the windows environment. I can use
the DOS version in a DOS window in WIN98 and it works fine. Also
STAMPLOT LITE works well. There was no significant change after
changing FIFO settings. Below is a copy of my original post and
someones generous reply. Thank You.

Are you using a programming cable purchased from Parallax, or one which you
constructed yourself ?

statement into your program. This will tell the editor to open the
DEBUG window, which opens activates the comm port and keeps it open.
