As a former employee, I can tell you that many employees don't know what
anything smaller than a CD player is. Your best bet is to go in and ask
them to look up the stock number (276-625) on the computer. If they don't
have it, ask them to find it from another store (they can check other stores
in the district on the computer too).
This is a pretty common practice. Especially in Wyoming, where we didn't
get a single kit. Wah!

Columbus, Ohio, area which were supposed to have the Parallax Basic 2
kit. None of them had it, and none of them seemed to know about it.
