Need a small 30-48 volt motor controller.

I'm looking to use my BS2P Stamp with a dc brush motor controller similar
to the Motot Mind C by Solutions Cubed but it needs to work with 30 to 48
volt motors drawing about 1 to 2 amps max. I like the compact size of
the MMC, it controls 2 motors and costs about $50 ($25/motor!), but it
has the limitation of 24 volts max. Does anyone have suggestion for
alternatives? Size and cost are important.

Thanks,
Chris

check out this web site for a dual h-bridge controller that will handle your
    requirements.

    Hey Chris,

The L298 might be a good one. The datasheet says that it's Max supply
voltage is 46 volts, but I haven't used it with any motor over 36. It can
control 2 motors as well but,if you're looking to increase the amperage it
can draw ( which is 2 amps) you can use them together for a max of 4 amps,
but remember to put a heat sink on the chip. I get mine at an electronic
surplus store for under 5 dollars.

You can download the datasheet from ST microelectronics.
    hope this helps
